Four verses to the Star Spangled Banner

We are very use to hearing the first verse of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ during sporting events. Written in 1814, many of us forget there are actually four verses. The last verse brings us what Francis Scott Key refers to as our motto; “In God is our trust.” Recently a former Marine reminded a crowd at a Tea Party event in Georgia with Herman Cain. The blessings of liberty for our Posterity

It was the end of a very heated, intense four months. The framers had joined together in an attempt to save the struggling confederation of 13 former colonies now known collectively as the United States of America. When the buck stops with POTUS people lose

Pres. Harry Truman made the phrase, “the buck stops here” famous. Pres. Obama has embraced a similar stance with his often used “the buck stops with me” line. Every president between Truman and Obama have told the people the POTUS (President of the United States) is where the buck stops when it comes to many situations such as natural disasters, man created disasters, economic challenges, environmental concerns, and more.
