Intervention is a really sound policy

Just ask any of those who are opposed to the notion the United States should move our foreign policy from one of intervention toward one of non-intervention and you will hear the many reasons why our approach works so well.  We have stayed on an interventionist path since the end of World War II and made a real case for intervention even before that, back when President Woodrow Wilson was selling U.S. Citizens on the notion we are a democracy and we should be sharing it around the world.

Herbert and many state legislators are planning to accept the ‘grant’ money and strings attached to the bill.  Most are not aware of the path this bill took from the House of Representatives through the Senate and finally to Pres. Obama for signature.  Here’s a brief look at the titles and official statements, most recent at the top, provided by OpenCongress.org:

All Bill Titles

It was the end of a very heated, intense four months. The framers had joined together in an attempt to save the struggling confederation of 13 former colonies now known collectively as the United States of America. It was a time of turmoil among the states. Efforts to organize a central government under the Articles of Confederation were proving ineffective. Continue reading
