About

“Education begins the gentleman, but reading, good company and reflection must finish him.” – John Locke

Today many people want to get involved on an issues based level. The frustration builds until inside we scream, “I’m mad as hell and not going to take it!” We contact our representatives regarding this law or that legislation and then, when things don’t change, wonder why we bothered in the first place. The first boiler plate response letter gets tossed in the trash as we toss our hands in the air in frustration. We can easily drift back into apathy or internalized frustration while the political critters feast on the carcasses of well intentioned activism. This is the results when we are kept busy with issues and personalities.

By turning our attention to principles and goals the political critters get concerned. Principles are like a bright light bursting on in a room of cockroaches, the cockroaches scatter. However, in order to really embrace a true understanding of Constitutional principles we must tether our activism to an in-depth study of our history.

Study Our History is a site devoted to helping do just that. Although individually we need to study, it is useful when we study our history as a small group while also linking with other study groups for the synergistic action steps that will help us restore liberty to our Constitutional Republic!

We must be involved in our political environment yet we must do so from a position of educated strength. When we tackle issues based on historical, core principles rather than traditional precedents or pure emotion, we can win with the same easy wisdom Horatio Bunce used to teach Davy Crockett a Constitutional lesson he never forgot.

“The great aim of education is not knowledge, but action.” – Herbert Spencer

As we grow we will have foundational study guides, videos, activities, and tools for those wanting to facilitate study groups in their homes or communities. Some services will be free while others will be fee based since those of us behind the project are not wealthy. We believe the free services will be enough to help launch any quality study with critical thinking at the core. The items we charge for will be high quality and well priced. Our goal is not to attain wealth but to help restore the health to our great Constitutional Republic.
